A Trilobite is an extinct group of marine arthropods that lived approximately 521 to 252 million years ago. They are characterized by their distinctive body plan, which consisted of a segmented exoskeleton divided into three distinct lobes: a central lobe called the axial lobe, and two lateral lobes. This structure gave them their name, "Trilobite."

Trilobites became extinct at the end of the Permian period, around 252 million years ago, during the largest mass extinction event in Earth's history, known as the Permian-Triassic extinction event. Despite their extinction, their fossils have been preserved remarkably well and are found in various parts of the world. These fossils provide valuable insights into the ancient oceans and the evolutionary history of life on Earth.

These Trilobite fossils measure at 3" long and make an excellent addition to any fossil lovers collection!
