Tree Agate, contrary to its name, is actually a type of Chalcedony with green, moss-like dendritic inclusions and has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Tree Agate is the same mineral as Moss Agate with their differences being that Tree Agate is primarily an opaque stone and Moss Agate is a translucent stone, however they both demonstrate the same moss-like inclusions. Tree Agate is believed to assist one in connecting with the energies of nature and the Earth. Tree Agate is unique in its ability to facilitate communication between the physical Earth realm and the spiritual Earth realm of nature spirits and other elementals. Because of its grounding and stabilizing energy, Tree Agate is an excellent stone for balancing the physical body and clearing out psychic clutter.
