Fossilized Trilobite

Trilobites are exclusively marine animals. They first appeared at the beginning of the Cambrian Period, about 542 million years ago, when they dominated the seas. Trilobites could range in size from smaller than a dime to the size of a dinner plate! There is no wonder why these have been one of the most popular fossils for many years now!
